**Job Description Summary**
The Program Manager (PM) will lead, execute and demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This role covers a broad scope with high impact to the business with recognition as an expert in a specialized field.
In this role, you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications in the Marine Engine Services business. Responsible for the overall Royal Australian Navy (RAN) In-Service Support Contract (ISSC) productivity strategy and execution along with involvement in long-term technical leadership to the overall Marine Services business strategy. The PM reports to the Director, Marine Engine Services in the United States.
+ Act as the primary interface with key internal stakeholders locally and in the US on all Program matters;
+ Manage and lead a team of field service technicians, including coaching, training and development;
+ Contract Cost Oversight & Planning
+ Customer Programmatic Liaison
+ Contract Performance Reporting to Defence
+ Defence Budget Awareness & Long-Range Fleet Coordination
+ LM2500 Fleet Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Planning and Engineering Liaison between Depot Management and Naval Defence Contracting Organisation
+ Manage assigned vendor contracts
+ Engine Life Management & Tracking
+ Engineering Liaison between RAN and GE/ANZ resources
+ Develop and Manage Customer Training Program
+ Spares/Materiel Forecasting, Control, Procurement and Reporting, including RAN supply system inventory stock take.
+ Subcontractor and Vendor Management – Component Repair Management
+ Lead regular program updates for internal management
+ Analyse contract trends and drive corrective actions
+ Ensure operational excellence in the areas of integrity, controllership, and compliance
+ From time to time, provide assistance and leadership to Asia/Pacific regional business priorities, in addition to local duties in Australia.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (marine, mechanical, industrial, or electrical) from an accredited university or,
+ In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, minimum 10 years of equivalent technical field service / team leadership with an Aeroderivative gas turbine technical background (e.g. marine propulsion or power generation).
+ Program Management or Operational Management with at least 5 years of experience.
+ Ability and flexibility to work across multiple time zones both locally and the US. (includes early morning and late evening teleconferences, etc.)
+ Strong conflict resolution skills
+ Detail oriented with strong oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external organizations, including upper management
+ Willingness and ability to travel
+ Strong interpersonal, influence, and leadership skills
+ Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
+ Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
+ Prior naval or merchant navy experience as officer or senior enlisted / rating. (Other Defense experience will be considered.)
+ Possession of an Australian Defence Security Clearance or the ability to obtain such a clearance is a **mandatory** requirement for this role.
