Our Professional Services team helps protect some of the most well-known organisations around the world. We support our security and enterprise products (e.g. Web Application Firewall, anti-DDoS solutions, Bot Management). The team works collaboratively to deliver consultative services, configuring optimised solutions for the unique requirements of every customer.
**Become a trusted advisor**
As a Security Consultant II, youll be the primary security services contact, ensuring the successful integration and support of customers on our platform. Acting as a trusted consultant in this growing and high-profile area, youll learn and implement creative solutions to help customers leverage Akamai’s security products and achieve desired outcomes.
As a Security Consultant II, you will be responsible for:
+ Advocating security best practice for the customers during product integration and maintenance
+ Being the central point of contact for security products and leading the integrated account to team deliver customer success
+ Partnering with the business to review and ensure integration efficiency, high quality service and keep customers engaged
+ Identifying service enhancements and potential problems to ensure continuous improvements to customer security posture
+ Communicating with internal, external customers and partners to share information and deliverables
**Do what you love**
To be successful in this role you will:
+ Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or its equivalent
+ Show understanding of working with network technologies, web security or media related technologies, methodologies and/or architectures
+ Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role within the information technology industry
+ Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build trusted relationships with customers in difficult environments
+ Demonstrate experience in delivering technical projects with an ability to manage multiple priorities
+ Have excellent communication and presentation skills that allow you to articulate highly technical information in a concise manner
+ Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment
+ Be able to travel locally 20 – 30% of the time as required
