Our leading aerospace company needs a motivated, highly organised Service Centre Lead Technician to supervise the Service Centre technicians, maintain the Service Centre and perform avionics repairs when required. The successful candidate will be the customer focal point, ensuring repairs are completed on time and maintaining customer satisfaction.
The Service Centre Lead role is also responsible for troubleshooting technical problems and issues, determining technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommending actions to customers, customer service representatives, sales representatives or field staff for a coordinated product solution. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.

+ Responsible for the Service Centre team meeting operational KPI’s.
+ Responsible for team meeting delivery schedules at the required level of productivity and quality.
+ Responsible for workforce planning and resource management.
+ Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resource allocation.
+ Liaise with customers to support their needs and to enhance customer satisfaction.
+ Identify, Implement and sustain improvements to processes in accordance with ES&H, Quality and Lean Manufacturing.
+ Develop and empower the team, providing a balance of direction and autonomy ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are identified to all employees.
+ Evaluate employee performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
+ Be a change management champion striving for continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Experience with DASR-145 repair and workshop requirements.
Experience in leading a workshop environment, prioritizing work for Service Centre technicians, monitor and maintain KPIs, ensure Service Centre meet DASR-145 requirements on an ongoing basis.
We require candidates experienced with avionics troubleshooting and repair to component level (circuit card assemblies, capacitors, resistors, etc...). Knowledge in RF/Digital/Analog theory and application is highly desired. The ideal candidate will be familiar troubleshooting avionics equipment such as Flight Control Computers, Radio Communication, Navigation, Weather Radar units, as well as Multifunction Displays and control panels. Automated Test Equipment and/or Manual bench operation, troubleshooting and repair is desired.
+ DASR-145 and/or Military experience repair workshop experience
+ Associated degree or a cert IV in trade discipline or equivalent work experience
+ Proven customer service experience
+ Identified skills and experience in avionics repair
+ Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
+ Proven team leading experience in a similar role, demonstrating leadership skills and resource planning and workforce development.
+ Self-motivated; being proactive, demonstrating action and accountability
+ Able to adapt under pressure
+ Demonstrated integrity; always acting in the best interests of the Company
+ Able to build and maintain relationships at all levels
