**Communications Manager, ANZ**
+ This position will drive a fully integrated communications agenda around Oracle Applications and Oracle Industries Solutions in ANZ as well as promoting and protecting Oracle’s wider brand and reputation
+ Tightly linked with Marketing and Sales functions, the role will create, integrate and co-ordinate execution of communications programs in-country
+ As a key role within Oracle JAPAC communications team, this position will report to the Communications VP, JAPAC. This position is based in Sydney, Australia and will require some travel within the region.
**Role & Responsibilities**
Key objectives include, but are not limited to:
+ Developing PR strategies and programs aligned against business/campaign goals
+ Proactively position Oracle, through designated media spokespeople, as a thought leader with the C-level business community;
+ Provide strategic guidance and lead the creative process in developing new ideas and innovative techniques to secure high quality news articles and features;
+ Develop and nurture relationships and secure editorial placements with business, trade and vertical business media.
+ Identify relevant media opportunities and coordination of resource requirements – including key spokespeople, media materials, etc.
+ Significantly raising awareness of Oracle Applications and Oracle Industry solutions and Oracle’s overall market leadership via thought leadership, product innovation stories as well as customer and partner success in the region and utilizing traditional and social media, as well as strategic influencer relationships.
+ Positioning Oracle as a market leader and leading authority in the areas of IT, and Cloud with deep expertise in key industries and lines of business (Finance, HR, Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, Advertising, Customer Experience)
+ Executing PR programs and achieving metrics by securing positive traditional and social media coverage, placing customer stories, pitching news, organizing media tours, etc.
+ Work with business leads and spokespeople to develop, refine and deliver message platforms.
+ Adhere to all internal processes for reporting and approval of PR activities. Ensure the timely, efficient and top-quality execution of all plans, activities and programs.
**Skills & Competencies**
+ This role must be filled by an outstanding professional, passionate about communications and delivering results, with minimum 8 years’ experience.
+ Excellent strategic planning skills; a solid understanding of the B2B technology industry in ANZ; deep understanding of traditional and social/digital techniques and campaign planning.
+ Experience working within a global enterprise, partnering with highly matrixed inter-connected teams across marketing, sales, social and global/regional dynamics.
+ Experience leading modern communications programs that are media-centric, social by design.
+ High degree of personal initiative, collaboration and strong written communications are critical skills.
+ The successful candidate will have strong media relations, a deep understanding of industry trends and hot topics, how technology is shaping and advancing the everyday lives of individuals as well as organisations – and demonstrated skills in applying that understanding to successful communications. More importantly, they will be able to apply their technical understanding to being able to develop thought leadership topics to make the subjects accessible to non-technical audiences.
+ Over and above specialist skills the candidate must demonstrate drive, initiative, common sense and a get-up-and-go attitude to be successful in this role.
**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**
Development of communication programs to promote Oracles products & services.
Integrate advertising into the marketing campaigns. Maintain regular interface within the organization and with external suppliers and agencies. Plan and manage pan-geography corporate and local campaign media plans. Plan, manage and implement corporate and local campaign advertising creative. Use professional concepts, company policies, procedures and own creativity handling local campaigns - and arrange sign off with appropriate management level. Integrate all advertising across the communications mix. Maintain and communicate brand advertising guidelines. Provide support and input when assisting with partner advertising. Manage resources within the terms of project budget. Develop and manage brand communications audit. Measure advertising effectiveness.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Five years relevant work experience. A proven track record in advertising across geography, five years experience, within a reputable global agency or major industry leader.
