Raytheon Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Engineering Officer to join our team in Macquarie Park. This role will provide specific manufacture and support services for the design, analysis, evaluation, procurement, integration, installation and test of hardware components and system/sub-system hardware interconnectivity as assigned by the Hardware Lead.
+ Provide electrical and electronics technical services as required for the manufacture and implementation of hardware systems and subsystems.
+ Provide support to hardware design, analysis, review and performance testing.
+ Provide assistance as directed to resolve hardware integration issues that involve interconnectivity and cabling.
+ Ensure assigned hardware systems/sub-systems designs are implemented according to company standards and procedures.
+ Coordinate and conduct cable design and drafting work.
+ Build, manufacture and assembly of complex cable looms and electronic assembly and disassembly.
+ Complete detailed electrical design for hardware designs and review engineering artefacts including special technical investigations, engineering change proposals, logistics support analysis, obsolescence monitoring, publication amendments and deviations.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
+ Requires a Certificate III in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or electrical trades training and experience with a minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience required.
+ Experience with 2D AutoCAD design for electrical and mechanical systems is desirable.
+ Familiarity with electrical manufacturing standards and methods and AS1100 drawing standards is desirable.
+ Experience with Military/Defence standard cabling manufacturing, tooling, methods and documentation would be seen as desirable.
+ Experience in the support of repackaging design, ruggedisation and integration of COTS items for use in a military environment is desirable.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
