Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager will primarily assist and support the ANZ Market Unit Procurement Lead and the team of onshore category leads, with end to end procurement activities for indirects. This role will be required to lead procure to pay initiatives across all procurement categories where this is a requirement. It will also involve the creation of potential transformation activity to align with future aspirations for both local and global Geographic Services requirements.

This role will sit within the ANZ Procurement team and will report to the ANZ Procurement Lead as part of the global Procurement Plus organisation.

This role will work with the various category leads and relevant stakeholders to implement and manage ANZ procurement projects and initiatives where required. This role will also require agility to support and manage future category requirements, manage staff where appropriate, and report procurement delivery and value to leadership.

The Procurement Manager will help drive initiatives across categories in support of agile and evolving business requirements. The Procurement Manager will work with each of the ANZ Category Leads to manage and prioritise workload, drive project delivery, and lead other P+ team members who support delivery, including both on-shore and off-shore teams.

This role is expected to liaise with local and global leadership.

Strategic and Tactical Category Management

+ Stakeholder relationship management and proactive engagement of both Global and Market Unit stakeholders and leadership to ensure that objectives are being achieved.

+ In-depth understand of indirect spend categories, category management, category strategic planning, and category pipeline activity, aligned with Global Procurement transformation strategy and local stakeholder requirements.

+ Interface with stakeholders and delivery teams to kick-off any project planning, sourcing effort, including facilitating initial data gathering and scoping of project for the delivery organization.

+ Assess viability and prioritisation of projects and set stakeholder expectations given Accentures experience and current market conditions.

+ Leverage the local and global procurement network of subject matter expertise to execute sourcing projects, negotiations, contract, and performance management.

+ Present recommendations and strategic plans to Leadership for approval and implementation.

+ Accountability for delivery of assigned P2P projects, pipeline, and transformational activities.

+ Participate in new business development, especially due diligence and solution design.

Sourcing and Contracting

+ Coordinate contracting processes with suppliers, including price and terms negotiations in collaboration with both commercial stakeholders and legal and compliance teams.

+ Develop detailed implementation plans for new contracts/services and project manage related procure to pay processes.

+ Assess impact of global, regional, and local changing requirements and strategies, including legislation and policies.

+ Contribute to, and participate in, the annual planning of sourcing activities and category plans.

+ Actively support roll-out of global/regional category development initiatives.

+ Support strong and robust procurement and category infrastructure aimed at optimizing activities.

+ Drive active stakeholder engagement and ownership buy-in by having regular executive meetings and/or being included in executive staff meetings/reviews.

+ Support delivery to meet/exceed stakeholder objectives and expectations.

+ Ensure execution and measure of the yearly action plans to improve team performance and delivery.

+ Actively participate in procurement community calls and foster team spirit.

Process Management

+ Identify, recommend, and implement improvements and drive growth across categories.

+ Review operational results and identify opportunities for process changes to drive additional savings and improve overall results.

+ Coordinate resource allocation to support projects/initiatives.

+ Lead and support strategic category management and procurement activities.

+ Support global/regional/MU category execution by setting implementation plans and measurements/reporting.

+ Promote the use of contracts and buying channels according to category strategies.

+ Drive alignment with business solutions and measure value add.

+ Support procurement operational projects based on regional or globally led initiatives.

+ Ensure all mandatory documents are properly filed and maintained for audit readiness.

+ Support the ANZ Procurement Lead with general organization activities and participate in sourcing initiatives as requested.





+ + Able to drive insights from spend data and market data.

+ Conduct interviews with buyers and key customer stakeholders to determine existing strategies, priorities, and constraints.

+ Work with the ANZ Procurement team to report and prioritise initiatives and deliverables.

+ Leverage global Procurement support and shared delivery teams for spend and data dashboards, insights, and activity.





+ + A bachelor`s degree with emphasis on areas such as business, economics, procurement, project management, or comparable professional education.

+ 10 years minimum Procurement or Category Management experience in a Global Organization.

+ Experience working with senior executives to implement and manage initiatives in a highly complex matrix organization.

+ Team/People Management skills to facilitate collaboration and delivery of successful business outcomes.

+ Flexibility to work across multiple procurement categories and to support cross-pollination of the full ANZ Procurement team.

+ Proven knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts.

+ Strong in executive communication and persuasion/influence.

+ Very strong in stakeholder and relationship management as well as supplier management.

+ Strong capability to independently interact throughout the broader Accenture organization.

+ Computer literacy (eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – minimum level: Intermediate to Advanced.






+ + Ability to coach and mentor direct reports (if required).

+ Ability to coach and mentor team members who are not direct reports.

+ Ability to proactively and regularly report to leadership, keeping fully informed of activity progress, issues, challenges, and outputs.

+ Expected to perform the role of Career Counsellor to at least 2 team members, including clear and measurable goal setting, performance reviews, and career and training development.

+ Ability to collaborate, advocate a shared vision, and execute with agility.
