AUS-Eastern Creek Production Planner Job at PayPal

We are now in the position to bring onboard a **Production Planner** to coordinate the internal pump assembly and external third party production jobs, based at our Eastern Creek branch.
The Production Planner is a key role within our business as you will be responsible to review job requests, schedule production, raise purchase orders, resolve job issues, analyse data, and make improvement proposals which meet the needs of the business as well as our customers.
Quality controls and quality assurance is a growing requirement due to new product lines in the commercial team which have regulatory requirements. Your role will be critical in the development and implementation of new standards.
**Your** **new role**
+ Manage all Supply Chain enquiries relating to production lead time, workshop capability, labour availability, assembled goods quality, and job costs
+ Develop processes which enhance quality assurance, including but not limited to creating checklists, policies, and workflow documentation
+ Determine margin impacts of pump options while identifying impacts to customer lead-time and costs
+ Schedule jobs according to priority, equipment and labour availability, and communicate new jobs and schedule changes to the workshop
+ Investigate and put corrective actions in place for any quality complaints
+ Organize testing, transfers, and batch release of batch controlled products.
+ Laser engrave data plates and other products which allow for high quality presentation and traceability
+ Establish inventory levels for consumables, components, WIP, and finish goods to balance inventory levels and lead time requirements
+ Develop effective means to track open and completed jobs, and provide visibility to business
+ Acquire moderate product application and technical knowledge to support holistic decision making
**Skills and experience required**
+ 3+ years’ experience in Production scheduling and execution
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, IT, or other related field (advantage)
+ Certificates in APICS, Logistics Management, Project Management, or Lean Six Sigma (advantage)
+ Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably iScala
+ Experience within the Water Technology, Pumps, or an Engineering environment(desirable)
+ Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
+ Continuous improvement mindset
+ A strong internal and external customer focus
