Job Title: Solution Architect- Customer 360

Position Summary


The Solution Architect – Customer 360 has the exciting role of leading the architecture design and implementation of the core engine responsible for enabling unique Optus customer connections.

Working with Marketing, Sales and Services stakeholders and partnering Analytics and technology teams, this role will look after all aspects of the Customer 360 Application, from the foundational platform technology, to the upstream/downstream integrations, related analytical models, data management and security requirements.

The role demands deep expertise and experience in Big Data & Analytics technologies, Data Management, Customer data, Digital Marketing capabilities for Telco industries, in order to effectively partner senior business stakeholders, contributing, influencing and presenting the overall strategy and roadmap for the C360 capability.  


Key Responsibilities


  • Accountable for designing and maintaining the Solution Architecture, implementation patterns, best practices, frameworks, standards and best practices for the Customer 360 application and its integration with other systems.

  • Work with marketing, sales, service and analytics teams in the identification of high priority business use cases, their data dependencies, analytical models, personalisation & decisioning requirements, to continually extend the C360 capability

  • Work with architects, designers, data modellers, vendors and infra teams, to build and extend the Customer 360 application, from its foundational Big Data platform, to the integration patterns, data management standards and API based integration features.

  • Demonstrate ability to deliver quality solutions in delivery models such as Dev-Ops and Agile. Expected to have a working knowledge of CI and CD tools.

  • Demonstrate an ability to effectively lead a reasonable sized team of designers and engineers, working with stakeholders, SMEs, data governance and delivery partners, in both Agile squads and BAU projects.

  • Keep abreast of constantly evolving technologies and relevant changes in the industry


Experience and Qualifications


  • Overall 12+ Years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Management, Big Data, Analytics and Customer Engagement / Digital Mkt. technologies

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as lead architect specializing in Big Data related solutions.

  • 3+ years of architecting and implementation experience in Customer Data Driven big data & analytics solutions

  • Experience to do cost estimation and working with external vendors

  • Experience with DevOps tools and environment

  • Experience in building an enterprise level data analytics capability.

  • Experience with Visualization tools and building of analytical models

In depth understanding of the following data technologies:

• Design & Development based on Hadoop platform and it’s components

• Informatica Big Data Management

• Python / Scala / Java

• HIVE / HBase / Impala / Parquet

• Sqoop, Kafka, Flume

• Data Warehouse such as Oracle Exadata, Teradata, Redshift, MS-SQL

• Business Intelligence solutions such as Cognos, Tableau or Power BI

• ETL solutions such as Informatica PowerCenter / Big Data Management

• Master Data Management

• Meta Data Management

• Data Quality Management

• Data Security

• Data Modelling
