Opening in 2025, ECU will move its world-class creative industries portfolio, including the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), into the Perth CBD.WAAPA has played a pivotal role in the careers of many of its stellar alumni, including Hugh Jackman, Frances O’Connor, Marcus Graham, William McInnes, Lisa McCune, Lucy Durack, and many more. It is also home to the internationally recognised Founding Pianos project.The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is responsible for building lifelong mutually beneficial relationships between the university’s alumni, business and the community, leading the university"s fundraising agenda. The environment is exciting, varied, fast moving and meaningful. A career defining opportunity exists for an experienced and talented fundraising expert to apply their skills to the development of ECU’s creative and performing arts portfolio, nurturing and developing ECU’s existing program whilst creating longer term opportunities that will be realised at the new campus.Key capabilitiesThe successful candidate will be passionate about the opportunity to work with WAAPA, WA Screen Academy, Broadcasting and ECU’s creative industry programs, be results driven and will have a proven track record of fundraising in a senior position. In addition, the successful candidate will:

Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects that involve budget, pipeline and data management
Possess experience in the writing of successful funding proposals/pitch documents
Demonstrate the ability to take the lead, mentor others and work highly effectively in a collaborative team environment
Bring experience in developing and contributing to long-term fundraising strategies, programs and relationships that support organisational ambitions
Be networked and driven to grow relationships and connections
