Location: Macquarie University, North Ryde
Our Group Risk Department is seeking a Risk Systems & Business Analyst to manage the University’s risk management system, Protecht, and deliver insightful risk and compliance information and analysis to stakeholders across the University Group to enable informed decision making. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk & Business Resilience, this role will also support our ELMO Learning Management System, specifically for online learning relating to emergency management and other regulated Emergency Control Organisation responsibilities.
You have excellent communication skills with demonstrated success in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders with different levels of technical skills. You have supported multiple business improvement initiatives and thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment where you can deliver outcomes to demanding deadlines.
You will have extensive experience and strong capabilities in supporting enterprise systems, preferably a risk system such as Protecht end-to-end, including testing, system reporting, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues. You will demonstrate the ability to partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify systems capability to provide solutions.
You have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, especially in dealing with IT vendors in order to meet agreed timelines and provide quality solutions.
The Group Risk Department supports the University and its controlled entities in achieving its goals through developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies in response to the rapid changes in the higher education sector, other statutory environments and to help realise the opportunities outlined in the University’s operating plan.

Extensive experience in supporting enterprise systems, preferably Protecht or similar.
End-to-end systems management, including testing, system reporting, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues across multiple systems.
Understanding business and systems requirements to build data solutions to deliver insightful information and analysis to stakeholders.
Experience with working on business improvement initiatives with organisational wide impact.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation.
