Research Opportunity in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering
Located on the Darlington Campus at the Faculty of Engineering
Full-time, 18 months fixed term with a base salary of $93K -$133K p.a., plus leave loading and a generous employer’s contribution to superannuation
About the opportunity
Reporting to Dr Wanli Ouyang and Dr Tim (Chenyu) Wang, you will contribute to the research of the development and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for clinical imaging proactive to improve the clinical reporting accuracy and productivity, focusing on the design and verification of AI algorithms.

As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow/Senior Research Fellow in AI for Imaging Understanding
has a PhD or is near completion in computer science/engineering/Applied Math etc, as well as relevant experience in Artificial Intelligence
has demonstrated excellent experience in Artificial Intelligence and deep learning
a strong hands-on coding skills in C++, Python and other scripting languages to quickly prototype Deep/Machine Learning models on platforms such as TensorFlow/Keras/Pytorch/Theano
is experienced with medical imaging analysis is preferred, specifically in classification, segmentation and multimodal analysis.
an ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work.
has experience in planning, analysis and communication skills together with the ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands
has excellent administrative skills, coupled with a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies
an ability to work in highly collaborative team environment
collaboration with industry and hospitals
The commencement level will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience and knowledge.
