EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – 2021 MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY STUDENT AMBASSADOR CASUAL ROLES
Are you passionate about Macquarie and what you study? Are you a confident speaker? We are looking for current undergraduate and postgraduate Macquarie students to share their experiences and help future students with their university decision-making.
The Future Students team is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to attract domestic undergraduate and postgraduate students. We are across all aspects of the recruitment cycle, working closely with high schools, prospective students, parents, career advisers, business organisations and other networks.
About the role
The primary objective of the Student Ambassador role is to assist with the promotion of Macquarie University’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Essentially you will be part of our front-line sales team. You will receive training and support in order to provide information to prospective students on all courses offered, entry requirements and pathways, adjustment factors, application procedures, extra-curricular activities, exchange opportunities, professional and industry engagement activities, support services, and all aspects of university life.
As the public face of the University you will be required to participate in events (in-person and online) such as Open Day, Information events (day and evening), career markets, presentations and consultations at high schools, campus tours, community events, marketing and telemarketing campaigns, administrative activities and other tasks as directed by the Future Students team.
We are looking for current, undergraduate, and postgraduate Macquarie University students who are:
Undergraduate students entering 2nd or 3rd year of study in 2021
Postgraduate students in their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of study in 2021
Achieving academically and are highly motivated and engaged in university life
Strong communicators and presenters with the ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to demonstrate leadership and organisational skills
Holders of a current driver’s licence (minimum provisional P1 licence)
