Education Program Architect - Optus Macquarie University Cyber Security Hub

Salary Package: From $122,653 – $129,541 p.a. (HEW Level 9), plus 13.25% employer"s superannuation.
Appointment Type: Full-time, fixed term 12 months, with a possibility of further extension subject to funding and performance.
The Optus Macquarie University Cyber Security Hub is located within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. It is an interdisciplinary network launched in August 2016 by Macquarie University with Optus as the founding partner to tackle real-world challenges in cyber security and enable explicit trust in the digital economy.
The Cyber Security Hub forms and supports a network of academic, business and government leaders, working together:
Providing expertise and leadership in cyber security regarding technology, governance, policies and human factors;
Offering a platform for exchange between academics and practitioners from business and government;
Conducting cross-cutting research across several disciplines: computing, engineering, business, criminology, law and psychology, covering all university faculties;
Working to develop commercial technology solutions for cyber security challenges;
Training the next generation of cybersecurity specialists as well as raising awareness among our leaders and developing the skills of the existing workforce.
The Cyber Security Hub works with on the vanguard of one of the most dynamic and growing challenges in our society today. This role is a distinctive opportunity to work in this dynamic field while covering all faculties and disciplines, and forging relationships between the university and business and industry.
For Macquarie University, this role will be a cornerstone in helping to progress one of the university’s overall strategic priorities.
The successful candidate will provide leadership in education, training and digital cyber upskilling programs for the Hub; particularly in the development, design and delivery of integrated programs and community outreach. You will also be responsible for driving the best practice development of curriculum strategy and program delivery, ensuring the Hub’s programs reflect the multi-disciplinary nature of the Hub, Research themes and expertise, and are relevant, innovative, and of high quality. You will work with the Executive Director of the Hub to identify and build external relationships.

You will be enthusiastic to chase a wide range of market opportunities and understand the breadth of these interests.
You will be keen to help MQU develop its positioning and place in the cyber security education market in Australia and have an understanding that the discipline includes stakeholders from all across campus.
Your experience in working between higher education and business and industry will be an advantage, and experience in designing education and skills development programs will be a plus.
Growing our capabilities in cyber security is a key strategic priority for Macquarie University. In this regard, you will be working with senior level management to ensure key goals are achieved.

Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to develop education programs and activities that contribute to achieving the Hub’s strategic goals;
Evidence of successful delivery of education programs, particularly in a corporate training or professional development environment;
Experience in course development, particularly with blended and digital delivery models;
Experience in education strategy development and implementation
Confidence in dealing with content matter experts over the range of business;
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in bridging the higher education sector with business, industry and government is an advantage
