Manager - TEQSA Re-registration

Salary Package: HEW Level 9 ($122,653 – $129,541) plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading.
Appointment Type: Full-time, Fixed Term for 2 years
Location: Macquarie University (North Ryde)
The RoleThis role will lead the project management of the TEQSA Re-registration Project and will engage with key stakeholders across the University to ensure the Macquarie quality framework is embedded into the policy and activities of the University. The Manager will report regularly to the TEQSA Re-registration Steering Group, the Executive Group and others on the progress against plan, citing issues and risks for the project. They will lead a series of working parties with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the University to identify gaps and opportunities, critically evaluate areas of potential risk, and to deliver plans for the remediation of any issues raised. further they will research and analyse the experiences and outcomes of other institutions facing registration and accreditation and apply lessons learned to ensure a compliant process is adopted.
About YouThe successful applicant will have significant knowledge of the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Framework, and project management experience in supporting the re-registration of a tertiary institution. They will have an extensive understanding of university structures, governance and policy as it relates to TEQSA compliance, and be able to influence decision making in this specialist area. They will be an expert in project management principles and processes, and will have experience in the development of plans, processes, communications and stakeholder engagement to ensure and effective and compliant outcome. They will have exceptional spoken and written English communication skills, and the ability to effectively engage key stakeholders and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.
About UsThe Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is the chief academic officer of the University and is the member of the University Executive.
The DVC (A) portfolio has a key role in overseeing the development of a balanced academic staff profile for the University as well as the capabilities of the academy. The portfolio also oversees the development and execution of Indigenous and widening participation strategies and plans as well as the operations of the University Library and Art Gallery.
The Executive Manager DVC (A) reports to the DVC (A) and is responsible for a range of functions to support the Portfolio, including leading TEQSA re-registration activities.

Sustained experience of ensuring the delivery of processes and activities within the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Framework.
Experience supporting the registration and/or accreditation of a tertiary institution.
Experience in successfully delivering large compliance projects within a complex environment.
Managing and/or coordinating complex university activities where significant innovation, initiative and judgement were required.
Sustained experience of delivering written and verbal reports to senior managers
Demonstrated experience of building and managing relationships with key stakeholders including senior management.
