ROLE
In this challenging and highly interesting position you will lead a team of casualty underwriting staff in underwriting energy business in the Australia/Pacific region. This is a high profile position in an international business requiring strong business acumen and superior communication skills. You will drive the strategic growth of our Energy business in the Australian Market.
Your Key responsibilities will include:
Management of a defined portfolio of accounts;
Manage and develop talent within the underwriting team;
Drive ZGE’s strategic and operational Plan, objectives and Financial Targets;
Ensure that pricing is undertaken in accordance with agreed Technical Pricing Models, guidelines Business Plans and Underwriting Authorities;
Review claim developments and trends in conjunction with Claims personnel and implement corrective actions as necessary;
Establish and maintain a program of intermediary and customer visits in conjunction with the Core Sales Process of Value Proposition;
REQUIREMENTS
As the successful candidate you have extensive casualty underwriting experience handling large corporate accounts. Exposure to the mining, oil gas or power industries will be highly regarded. ANZIIF qualifications are essential and tertiary qualifications are preferred. Your success will come from your ability to engage staff and clients alike and you will thrive in a fast paced environment. This position will involve some business related travel.
