Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) is a University-wide initiative designed to provide undergraduate students with experiential learning opportunities with a range of local, regional and international partners. A key objective of the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategic Framework (2015) is to expand experiential learning programs to further enhance the employability of Macquarie graduates. One of the key strategies to achieve this objective will be to build on the PACE initiative through providing full internship opportunities and Co-operative Education (Co-op) across undergraduate programs.
PACE is seeking an experienced project co-ordinator to contribute to the development of a robust framework for the delivery of a Co-op program and increased internship opportunities for undergraduate students, and to provide high-level project co-ordination. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, among others: contributing to establishing strategic priorities for program design and delivery; developing and maintaining partner relationships; developing and recommending student recruitment plans together with supporting systems and business processes; contributing to the development of promotional materials; researching and evaluating options for program delivery including considering potential risks related to different models; and developing and implementing a detailed project plan.

Sound understanding of project management principles and practices, together with practical experience in project co-ordination.
Demonstrated experience in building relationships with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders and influencing their decision making
Demonstrated understanding of the risks and opportunities of delivering a Co-op, internship or experiential learning program, including student recruitment and support systems.
Demonstrated understanding of the conceptualisation, scoping and implementation of IT systems and associated processes for student placement programs.
In-depth knowledge of the tertiary education sector together with the issues and challenges.
Experience in developing and maintaining web pages and preparing promotional materials
Experience in coordinating a Co-op, internship or experiential learning program

Salary Package: The pro-rata equivalent from $87,699 - $95,084 p.a. (Level 7), plus employer"s superannuation and annual leave loading
