A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Reinsurance Controller, this newly created regional role will act as the business partner of the Australian CFO and the APAC regional CFO in all Reinsurance Finance related matters. Embedded in the finance function the successful candidate will form part of the Financial Accounting and Reporting team working closely with the reinsurance and actuarial teams in Australia and Asia Pacific region.
Role:
As the successful candidate you lead a regional network of reinsurance finance professionals while leveraging reinsurance finance knowledge that exists in the individual countries to achieve the Group"s goals.
Working across the Reinsurance Finance Function and acting as the business partner for all reinsurance finance topics you will facilitate efficient and clear communication between the region, the reinsurance finance teams in the countries and Group Re.
Understand reinsurance structure of the countries and the Group and be able to explain its financial implication to the regional leadership team
Provide business insight on both the country and the regional reinsurance results in collaboration with the local reinsurance finance team@
Requirements:
The role requires the successful candidate to have approximately ten years experience in the Reinsurance /Insurance industry of which at least five years has been gained in the finance controlling area.
Superior communication skills ideally with exposure to the Asia region.
Strong leadership skills and experience in leading a virtual network with capacity to build solid relationships at all levels of the region.
The role is split 50% Australia and 50% APAC region therefore the successful candidate will be required to travel internationally on an as needed basis. This is an exciting new opportunity for you to join a global organisation where you will rewarded with an attractive remuneration package.
