The Thiess Sedgman Joint Venture is a leading contractor for the design, construction and upgrade of coal handling preparation plants for the Australian Coal Industry.  Combining the strength of Thiess" project management skills with Sedgman"s strong capabilities in coal handling, preparation plant design and leading edge process technology - the TSJV ensures integrated coal processing design and construction solutions.  As a result of the success of the Joint Venture we offer security in employment beyond individual projects and a career path with Thiess.

We are currently seeking experienced Project Managers to join our project team. Initially based in our Brisbane office, these roles will then transfer to the project site operating on a fly in, fly out roster.
You will

Establish and lead the project management team responsible for the delivery of design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities for the project;
Lead and promote the risk management process for the project, identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce the commercial exposure of the business;
Lead the team in delivering outstanding performance in cost, quality and time to the expectations of the client and key stakeholders;
Demonstrate an absolute commitment to safety and the project values;
Be responsible for ensuring all activities are compliant with company and client standards as well as the regulatory framework.
To be considered suitable, applicants will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience, preferably within the resources sector on multi-disciplinary EPC projects;
Demonstrated capability to manage a Project team;
Sound commercial acumen with astute cost control and continuous improvement initiatives;  
Excellent leadership skills;
An overarching commitment to excellence, continuous improvement and safety.
