The Voice Provisioning Specialist (VPS) is responsible for the creation, activation and management of Simple and Complex orders for Optus Business (OB), Small & Medium Business (SMB) and Wholesale Customers. The primary responsibility of the VPS processes, tracks and reports on a defined set of Voice Provisioning activities and is required to manage and drive the successful timely implementation of defined Optus Voice Products.
The VPS will also ensure that the progress of all escalations and reschedules is communicated appropriately to all Seamless Telephony stakeholders. The VPS will have a professional and positive outlook and initiative in delivering exceptional service. The VPS may be required to deliver on the job training and guidance to new team members, contributing to process improvement initiatives and resolving complex delivery issues.
To be effective in this role you will demonstrate the following:
Experience in Telecommunications environment or other customer service role
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Knowledge and experience in dealing with the Optus Business requirements
Knowledge and understanding of the Optus Networks and the technologies used to support these products
Strong verbal and written presentation skills
Highly developed organisational skills
Ability to be assertive when making decisions and communicating with workgroups
Ability to recognise problems and opportunities and act on them rapidly to continuously improve productivity and customer service levels
Extensive experience in a telecommunications provisioning or order management role.
Highly proficient in Optus provisioning systems and applications
