An opportunity has arisen for a motivated Coded Welder to join our Central Works team.
The responsibilities of this position are:
• Carry out Welding activities using FCAW, GTAW, MIG & MMAW welding processes
• Consult with the pipe fitter to ensure all fabrication and welding is carried out in a timely manner
• Completion of preventative maintenance tasks with respect to welding functions
• Maintain plant process equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Assist in the completion of breakdown and shutdown maintenance
• Complete preventative pipe fitting/boilermaking schedules as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Identify material grades
You will be required to have/be:
• Previous experience as a Coded Welder in a continuous operating process/plant.
• Previous experience with preventative maintenance management systems
• Computer literacy
• Able to work in confined and restricted areas and at heights
• A team member with the ability to work un-supervised for extended periods
• Good understanding of all types of welding including stainless steel and exotic materials
• Good attitude to personal safety
• Good communication skills to facilitate accurate transfer of information
• An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental procedures
• Comfortable working shift work
• WA "C" Class drivers licence
