The Role:
A rare end to end Contracts Specialist role has become available within our Supply and Logistics department. This is the ideal role for you if you"re an experienced supply professional looking to further your career in a progressive resource company. The ideal candidate will be a service driven team player with a successful track record in contract development and administration.
As a Contracts Specialist you are directly accountable for:
• Managing a portfolio of agreements for the provision of goods and services;
• Compiling agreement documentation, recommendations for award and managing variations;
• Leading negotiations and providing strategic input into the development, implementation and management of contracts; and
• Managing contractor relationships and minimising commercial risk.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to demonstrate:
• Experience in a similar role within the resource industry;
• A proactive attitude to personal safety;
• A proven track record in the development of goods and services agreements (including planning, tendering, adjudication, negotiation, award and ongoing commercial management);
• Previous success in contract negotiations, including dispute/claim resolution and managing contractor relationships;
• An understanding of contract law; and
• A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law or related fields will be advantageous.
