An opportunity has arisen for a Safety Superintendent to join our Corporate Safety, Health and Environment team in Brisbane to assist and contribute to our number one value of "safety and health above all else".
As the Safety Superintendent you will be responsible for providing direct support to Project Managers and project Safety and Health professionals. Duties will include:
• Providing support to project personnel in the application of Risk Management Principles.
• Supporting projects in the implementation of Corporate initiatives.
• Providing advice and assistance with incident investigations (ICAM).
• Assisting with the development and implementation of Safety and Health Management Systems.
• Conduct site inspections and audits where required.
• Support Senior Leadership Team with the development of Safety and Health initiatives and objectives.
• Supporting project personnel for Project "Start-ups".
Relevant qualifications in a safety related field along with auditing certificates are essential to be successful in this role. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of coal mining legislation and requirements.
