The Senior Mine Planning Engineer is the champion for collecting and managing all business modelling information for use in ore body optimisation and life of mine and rolling 5yr schedules. It will be your responsibility to prepare information for the annual reserve statements and participates in strategic mine planning activities including sequencing of in-pit tailings, evaluating sources of supplementary feed for the business, and equipment fleet replacement plans. This role generates conceptual pit designs and infrastructure layouts for submission to the DMP and communicates the optimal direction of the mining extraction sequence to all stakeholders.
The style of the mining operation is a combination of selective ore mining, not dissimilar to gold operations and of bulk mining as would be employed in bauxite or iron ore operations.

BEng (Mining)
Open pit mining experience
Long-term planning experience
Demonstrated significant achievements as a Mine Engineer
Naturally you will also need to have excellent command of all aspects of communication and team work.
