We currently have a vacancy in our Detailed Design department for an Electro Mechanical Designer with experience and trade qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical. ASC offers you the chance to grow and develop your skills within a dynamic project driven environment.
The overall responsibility of this role will be to undertake design activities in an electrical capacity while supplementing mechanical skills where required. This specifically includes the production of drafting work from component to system/assembly level ensuring that the associated detail, assembly and installation drawings are in accordance to the ASC Design Process. This role requires a large degree of consultation and liaison with other key departments to ensure a wider consideration in the design process. The inspection and audit of build states on board the boat may be required in this role so interstate travel is an occasional possibility.
To be successful in this role you must possess either an Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualifications in electrical engineering. You must also have trade qualifications in either electrical or mechanical. Experience in the design, maintenance and installation of electrical systems is essential. Your strong communication skills will enable you to interact with all levels of the organisation.
Applicants must be eligible for Australian Department of Defence security clearance.
