Working in a project based environment this role will report directly to the Senior Estimator. This is a specialised role providing estimating capability to project teams in order to accurately estimate times and costs for maintenance tasks on submarines.
Working with a small customer focused team; this role will allow you to use your analytical and logical thinking skills to provide estimates for planned maintenance, growth work and defects while demonstrating the logic behind the estimates to your customers. In addition, you will review estimates for accuracy on completion of work while pro actively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the estimating process.
Advanced computing skills in Microsoft Excel are a must, together with good interpersonal and client management skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a trade/technical background along with significant experience in estimating. Previous experience in a defence or engineering environment will be highly regarded.
