We have currently have a vacancy in our Supply Chain function based at our brand new shipbuilding facility for an enthusiastic and motivated Inventory Controller.
Joining this progressive team, it will be your responsibility to monitor the material status of our local site in Adelaide as well as two remote subcontractor sites in Newcastle and Melbourne. You will ensure that material is available at the right time to the correct quantity together reacting to deficiencies and instigating appropriate expediting action to ensure production is not affected. Another key aspect of this role will be assisting other supply chain departments by reviewing workflow and supporting with the prioritisation of material requirements.
To be considered for this role you must have production control, planning, procurement or material control experience in a heavy engineering, manufacturing, or defence environment. You must have a high level of competency in the use of ERP systems, preferably Control 2007. This would be supplemented with excellent communication skills, high analytical abilities, team focus with a commitment to customer service.
Applicants must also be eligible for Australian Department of Defence security clearance.
