Join our Telfer operation in this exciting opportunity as a Light Vehicle Mechanic. Having completed a trade in an applicable mechanical discipline and having gained work experience within this profession your key responsibility as the Light Vehicle Mechanic will include:
Servicing, maintenance, and repair the mine"s Light Vehicles and Ancillary Equipment Fleet as requested by the support equipment supervisors.
An opportunity exists to broaden your skills with a wide variety of Ancillary equipment.
Maintenance of all relevant recording systems as required.
Ensure open, cooperative & clear communication with supervisors and other relevant departments regarding priorities and operational requirements.
Developed skills in the areas of ordering of parts from the warehouse and in raising work orders required for work operations.
Ensure the highest possible standards of housekeeping are maintained within the Light Vehicles and Support Equipment areas.
Being committed to and part of the continuous development and improvement to the departments Safety program.
To achieve in this positions you will have thorough equipment knowledge, adept range of mechanical skills including Air-conditioning, Auto electrical and Welding, highly developed communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised. A solid understanding of statutory and fleet maintenance requirements is essential and the successful candidate will hold a current Australian HR class drivers license.
