FIFO - 8 days on, 6 days off
You will be responsible for providing Emergency Response, Security Services and lead the site Emergency Response Team at Telfer such that any emergency involving the Telfer operations and asset is managed in an efficient and effective manner whilst reducing the risk of injuries or harm to personnel, the environment and company assets.
It is desirable for this position that you possess the following -
Computer literate
Certificate 2 security operations
Current Senior first aid certificate
Certificate 2 Fire ground operations and or equivalent experience
HR drivers licence
"Certificate IV trainer and assessor"
Closed circuit breathing apparatus
Industrial Emergency Responder
Previous underground mining experience
Fire system inspection and testing experience
Your specific key responsibilities will include but not limited to the following -
Respond to, control and lead the ER team through any emergency incidents that may occur on site
Test the emergency response plans and procedures by planning and conducting regular emergency evacuation exercises
Conduct maintenance training of all emergency response personnel so as to maintain adequate preparedness in all aspects of controlling emergencies.
Conduct fitness for work testing as required
Develop and maintain close cooperation with the Telfer sites contractors, thus fostering mutual assistance amongst the contractor group
Maintain all emergency response equipment at a high level of operability / reliability and in a state of readiness at all times
