We are looking for an Underground QAQC Supervisor to join our Cadia East project team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting and improving the quality assurance and quality control of mining activities within the Cadia East underground project. You will interact with Mine Foreman and operators to ensure safe, quality development and other mining activities to required standards.
Your key responsibilities would include:
Manage and coordinate Cadia East QAQC Technician team in order to meet mining quality requirements
Develop and implement processes for monitoring key QAQC areas and undertaking training and coaching of technician team
Working with the engineering and geotechnical teams to optimise, define and set QAQC standards for the Cadia East project
Working with the Cadia East operational team to implement physical mining activities to required standards and specifications
Ensure development and use of robust QAQC processes to monitor performance
Ensure development and forward planning of ITP and QAQC plans for major project excavations
Ensure integration of QAQC team within operational, engineering and geotechnical functions.
To be successful in this position you will possess the following key skills and attributes -
At least 5 years mining experience including 3 years in an underground QA/QC roles
High level of computer literacy in specific technical software relating to database manipulation
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Flexibility to work on a number of projects at one time, adjust work schedules and to manage potentially competing priorities.
