The proposed processing plant upgrades include the introduction of a range of state-of-the-art equipment in the comminution, flotation and gravity processing areas.  CVO has a requirement for a keen and enthusiastic Senior Plant Metallurgist to join our team to assist with the commissioning and optimisation of this equipment.
Reporting directly to the Metallurgical Superintendent, the Senior Plant Metallurgist will also make a highly valued contribution to the operations at CVO by providing technical support to the site operations and management team.
You will be a key member of the Concentrator Department and will be required to develop expertise in the total metallurgical function.
Primary responsibilities include:

Provide leadership, mentoring and support to plant and graduate metallurgists
Monitor operation of the HG & LG grinding, gravity and flotation circuits
Implement approved circuit modifications and improvements
To provide a technical resource for resolving key issues impacting concentrator performance
Manage Metallurgical testwork, consultants and projects as per budget & project master schedule
Play a key role in maintaining CVO at the forefront of minerals processing technology, ensuring CVO remains an industry leader
Partaking in the call out roster providing support for the concentrator production team
To be successful in the role you will need:

Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering
5+ years experience in mineral processing operations
Exposure to SAG milling, Gravity & Flotation Unit processes within the gold or base metals industry
High attention to detail in problem solving and troubleshooting
Demonstrated tenacity in approaching tasks and delivering to customer requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, reporting and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Improvement
