Join Cadia Valley Operations as an experienced Open Pit Planning Engineer where you will be responsible for the maintenance of appropriate open pit planning systems and procedures to ensure short term, medium and long term planning is integrated and provides accurate planning information for Cadia Hill Open pit and future mining studies at CVO.
Other key responsibilities will include:
Provide all Open pit mine planning inputs for the development of an integrated and optimised CVO Resource Development Strategy.
Ensure open pit production processes comply with site quality control standards.
Ensure value maximisation from identified CVO Open Pit Mineral Resources
Develop viable options and contingencies to provide resilience of the production plan
Ensure identification and management of material risks to budget delivery, including specific contingency plans
Monitor and manage Ore Reserve reconciliation performance for Cadia Hill pit.
Ensure required open pit studies and capital projects are appropriately scoped, resourced and progressed to meet requirements of the Resource development strategy
To be considered for this position you will be tertiary qualified and will have demonstrated experience in mining engineering. Strengths in problem framing, reporting and business excellence is essential. In addition, you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate and engage stakeholders at all levels.
