Manager - Asset Management
We are seeking to engage an experienced Asset Management professional to build and lead Telfer"s asset management services to reliably deliver equipment and infrastructure suited to the needs of the business. Your will foster and promote continuous improvement in safety, environment, cost and production outcomes via improved performance of maintenance, application of engineering standards and implementation of new projects.
Some of you key responsibilities will include -
Ensuring all engineering standards, procedures and work complies with all statutory, Newcrest and Telfer safety requirements
Actively promoting proactive safety behaviours and leading by example
Ensuring the Newcrest Asset Management strategy is in place, communicated and being applied.
Identifying and acting on opportunities and risks, including implementing innovative improvements to existing systems
Monitoring controls on the systems and taking corrective actions as required
Providing the site with a continuously improving long term Asset management strategy reflect improving asset utilization and sustaining or reducing total life cycle costs.
Active involvement in developing and implementing a systematic asset reliability framework including condition monitoring, root cause analysis and recommendations.
The essential skills and attributes for this position are -
High level of technical, conceptual and strategic planning abilities
Strong continuous improvement and change management capabilities
Well developed communication, presentation and time management skills
Post graduate qualifications in Maintenance Management or equivalent specialist training
Understanding of engineering standards and requirements to comply with standards and guidelines applicable to mining operations
Significant experience at multiple large scale mining operations.
Minimum 5 years relevant management experience
