Reporting to the Property Underwriting Manager, your primary objective is to provide a world class underwriting capability and to develop a profile within the intermediary market.
Key responsibilities include:
Regional authority to underwrite and accept risks within authorised limits
Establish and develop key intermediary relationships
Coach and develop staff in technical knowledge
Operate to agreed service standards for the issuing of new business quotes, renewals and endorsements.
Offer suggestions in the way product is internally serviced and externally delivered.
You will be an individual with solid experience within commercial property underwriting. Along with a strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to change, you will need highly developed negotiation and communication skills. Word & Excel to intermediate level of proficiency essential. Finally, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to develop effective relationships and identify key clients aligned to our appetite.
Ideally tertiary qualified or ANZIIF Senior Associate or Fellow together with strong financial analysis skills & an understanding and application of insurance financial and market dynamics will see you succeed in this role.
