We are seeking applications for energetic, motivated and hardworking individuals who would like to be placed on our Casual Employment Register for a range of Research Support roles.
CSIRO maintains a non-ongoing Casual Employment Register for the Divisions of Entomology, Plant Industry and Land and Water to assist in filling short term vacancies during peak work periods in the Brisbane region.
Please note that this is a register of interest only. You will only be contacted if a position that suits your qualifications/experience becomes available.
This register will be open for six months at a time, and will require you to re-apply after that period.
Positions become available on an "as needed" basis, and will vary in duration. You will be contacted directly in the event a suitable position becomes available.

Position Description
We are seeking applications for energetic, motivated and hardworking individuals who would like to be placed on our Casual Employment Register for a range of Research Support Roles.
CSIRO offers excellent work experience for people looking for short term employment. Where possible, flexible working hours are available.
Opportunities may be available in the following areas:
Field Workers
Harvesting of Crops and Animals
Processing Samples - Sewing, Sampling, Grinding, Counting, Bagging and Weighing.
Assist in collecting and testing mass quanitities of samples
Assist with lifting, loading and delivery of sways
Operate heavy capital machinery and equipment
Overnight deliveries and harvesting
Working with Animals
Laboratory Assistants
Data collection of plant samples
Cleaning and maintenance of Glass houses
Research and analysis of plant data
Plant maintenance
Lab cleaning
Gardening and Site Maintenance
Weeding, Planting, Watering and Pruning Plants
Cleaning Glasshouses, Labs and Site Sheds
