We are currently working on two of the most innovative and advanced Naval Defence contracts in Australia- the Collins Class Submarine Through-Life Support Project and the Air Warfare Destroyer Program. We are now seeking to appoint a Logistics Engineer - Electrical to the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) department of ASC Shipbuilding. Working within the Engineering Department (ILS Team) you will be part of a team responsible for the analysis of reliability, failure predictions, maintenance requirements, sparing and life cycle costing analysis of our products in support of the Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Program.
Reporting to the AWD Platform Systems ILS Services Manager the Logistic Engineer - Electrical will be responsible for analysing AWD electrical systems to determine reliability issues, failure data, maintenance requirements, supportability requirements and safety considerations. The development of accurate Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and associated actions to be undertaken will be essential aspects of the role.
The development and implementation of Logistics Engineering processes and procedures as well as the review and validation of vendor supplied ILS data for completeness, accuracy and applicability are also important tasks this role will undertaking.
The successful applicant will possess extensive electrical maintenance experience within a Marine and or Industrial environment (or equivalent) having performed fault finding and or maintenance planning activities. A Tertiary Degree in Electrical Engineering or Certificate in Industrial Electronics and Control would be highly regarded as well as previous Logistics Engineering experience within the Defence environment.
Applicants must be eligible for Australian Department of Defence security clearance.
