As the Manager of our on-site underwriting team, located at Marsh’s offices in Parramatta, you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of a commercial portfolio including Business Insurance, Motor, Liability, ISR and Engineering lines, in accordance with Zurich’s technical underwriting and pricing strategies. Other responsibilities will be to:
maintain and deliver profitable sales growth
keep abreast of market trends and competitor developments
maintain and develop relationships with key internal and external partners
identify and implement improvements in our internal systems, procedures and our service delivery to our external customers
You will be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge and experience in Commercial Lines underwriting, together with the capacity to manage a small team of direct reports.
You will achieve success in this role by having superior communication and influencing skills with the ability to deliver results and build strong relationships with internal and external customers. Furthermore, you will be able to self manage, drive and motivate.
This role is situated within the Marsh offices in Parramatta, and services brokers in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. As such, some interstate travel is required.
