The Squirrel ISS contract is for the provision of Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply and General Support Services for the AS350BA Helicopter Fleet (Mission System) based at HMAS ALBATROSS, Nowra. This contract establishes a single performance-based contract for the support of the Mission System and Support System. The Trade Supervisor will play a key role in the maintenance and conduct of the R servicings for the RAN AS350BA fleet of Squirrel helicopters in the airframe & engine trade. The Trade Supervisor will be responsible for providing all supervisory aspects for the allocated maintenance tasks within his/her own trade category. The Trade Supervisor will perform the duties within is/her authorised level of maintenance authorisation under the Raytheon Australia Mission Support MMP and the AS350BA ISS MMP.
Essential Qualifications;
• Appropriate trade certificate, diploma/associate diploma, or equivalent experience with post graduate training in an applicable specialist field;
• Certificate IV in Aeroskills to comply with the DEFAUST 9022 Aeroskills requirements;
• AS350BA trade course and/or relavent experience in the maintenance of the AS350BA helicopter.
• Demonstrated 2 years experience in the Trade Supervisory role for rotary wing aircraft.
Essential Experience;
• 3 years experience in the relavent trade on the AS350BA helicopter or equivalent aircraft type;
• Have a demonstrably high level of Trade Supervisory experience on the AS350BA helicopter and associated systems or equivalent helicopter type;
• Previous knowledge and experience of the application of the ADF maintenance philosophy and sound understanding of the AAP 7001.059 (AM1);
• Have the confidence to supervise independent maintenance tasks and repairs using authorised and approved maintenance publications and instructions and
• Strong organisational skills, including the ability to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
