Due to our recent growth and continued success, Raytheon Australia now has a requirement for an Aviation Lead to join our program.
BASIC FUNCTION
The Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Program is about the timely and efficient delivery of an affordable, effective, flexible and sustainable Air Warfare Destroyer capability for the security of Australia. The AWD Program is using an alliance based contracting strategy for the design and build phase of the Program. The AWD Alliance includes personnel from the DMO, ASC AWD Shipbuilder Pty Ltd and Raytheon Australia Pty Ltd, supported by the Platform System Designer and a range of sub-contractors.
The Aviation Lead will:
• Be the primary point of contact within the Alliance for “Whole of Ship” aviation issues.
• Coordinate the activities of external stakeholders involved in aviation matters via leadership of the Aviation Working Group.
• Coordinate and undertake design review and analysis tasks as required.
• Lead aviation related analysis activities in support of the Safety Case development.
• Actively involved in the co-ordination of testing and certifying the ship’s aviation support equipment.
To be successful in this role you will have experience in project management requiring dealing with a wide range of personalities from a variety of external organizations.
