Arrow Energy is seeking a Principal Reservoir Engineer to join their Petroleum Engineering team in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Reservoir Engineering Team Leader, the primary function of this role is to provide high level technical expertise in the area of Reservoir Engineering. Your main objectives will be to maximise reserve bookings, and to optimise field development and production.
Key duties of the role include (but will not be limited to):
Developing and maintaining the Asset Field Development Plans and associated reservoir simulations;
Leading asset area reserves certification processes via reservoir modelling, accurate reporting and reservoir data gathering programs;
Supporting the Asset continual improvement initiatives by studying and recommending optimal well spacing, infill drilling opportunities and enhanced recovery opportunities;
Providing experience and mentoring for the reservoir team members; and
Seeking out and advising on industry best practices for Reservoir Engineering for coal seam gas.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in the Petroleum industry (CSG experience an advantage), with specific and high standard expertise in reservoir simulation and evaluation, field development planning, well testing and production. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading project study teams to develop field development plans and conduct reservoir studies. You will possess a Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering or Science.
You will have knowledge of other discipline tasks such as operations, drilling, facilities engineering, log analysis, geology and geophysics. The successful applicant will also have high level computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc) and exposure to industry standard reservoir and production engineering software.
