You will work in one of a number of expected positions in various research areas including insect ecology, molecular biology, soil biology, stored products, insect curation and data-basing and general laboratory duties. Fieldwork is required in many of these positions. You will need an ability to work with minimal supervision as a member of a small team and the capacity to learn new skills and to adapt quickly to changes in work procedures. Most positions require some knowledge of entomology and the aptitude to handle small insect specimens and to collect and clearly record data. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.     back to top       Position Description           Most positions will have terms varying in length from 3 to 12 months Opportunities may be available in the following areas: Field Workers  Harvesting of Crops and Animals Processing Samples - Sewing, Sampling, Grinding, Counting, Bagging and Weighing.
