Due to our continued growth and success, we have a requirement for Interfaces Engineer to join our Combat Systems team on the Air Warfare Destroyer Program in Adelaide.
With our partners we are committed to the timely and efficient delivery of an affordable, effective and sustainable Air Warfare Destroyer capability for the security of Australia.
The Program is using an alliance-based contracting strategy for the design and build phase of the Program. The AWD Alliance includes personnel from the Defence Materiel Organisation, ASC AWD Shipbuilder Pty Ltd and Raytheon Australia Pty Ltd, and is supported by the Platform System Designer and a range of Australian and overseas subcontractors.
Reporting directly to the Combat Systems Interface Lead, the Interface Systems Engineer is required to provided requirements and system design support to the AWD Combat Systems Team . Some travel will be required in order to attend Interface working groups and reviews.
Other responsibilities of the Interface Systems Engineer include:
Elicit, refine and document Requirements
Create Verification Statements for requirements
Perform Systems Analysis and design to satisfy the system requirements
Identify project and product risks and escalated using the projects defined processes
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non conformities relating to the product, process and quality system.
Understand the systems engineering methodology, tools and procedures required to complete the systems engineering tasks assigned
Ideal applicants will have tertiary qualifications in the discipline of science or engineering and at least three (3) years experience in an engineering role. Knowledge of Systems Engineering Standards, and tools would also be advantageous.
It is a requirement that you are an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and retain a defence security clearance at the Secret level.
