REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Direct report to the Human Resources Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Learning champion for Raytheon Australia.
Responsible for defining policies and procedures that support the growth of the business with respect to learning and development.
Develop, communicate, gain support with the business and functional leaders for the learning and development strategy and plan, and implement.
Manage and coordinate learning needs assessment; collect and integrate learning requirements; identify learning metrics to support business objectives; implement learning solutions to maximise ROI on learning activity.
Develop and implement learning and development programs and activities that increase individual capability and accountability and ultimately facilitate an increased workforce capability.
Develop and manage learning and professional development frameworks (eg. competency model; career pathways).
Monitor the performance of learning and development initiatives to ensure delivery of the specific activities on budget and within required timeframes, act to rectify any deficiencies and prepare and submit required operational and performance reports to the Human Resources Director to ensure achievement of plans and targets and budgets.
Develop and manage the Learning Management Systems (eg Learning Seat) for the organisation to ensure the system is used to maximum potential.
Design and deliver training modules for employee and manager levels on HR processes and initiatives; e.g., harassment, performance issue resolution, PDS.
Key participative member of the PM and Engineering Technology Councils to assist in understanding business requirements.
Key contact for HRR process and management of identified skill development needs for those identified in succession planning.
Manage and coordinate the annual PDS process for the business to ensure timely and effective execution.
Manage Raytheon Companys Employee Opinion Survey for all Australia working through others to ensure increased participation rates each year the survey is conducted.
Manage Raytheon Companys 360 program across Australia working directly with managers, identifying coaches, and training coaches.
SurveyEmbrace and champion RAs corporate values and clearly demonstrate the desired behaviours every day, becoming a model for others in the organisation.
Provide strategic advice to the business on learning and development activities.
Provide support and advice to employees on learning opportunities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
Degree qualifications in a related HR discipline e.g., training and development
Must have a minimum 5 years supervisory experience
Must have a minimum 10 years experience in the HR field with a minimum 5 years focused on the learning and development or training functional aspect of HR
Desirable
Post graduate qualifications in related discipline

EXPERIENCE
Essential
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
Demonstrated delivery of training materials
Effective presentation skills wherein client leaves the training session understanding the concept
Demonstrated experience in the on-time delivery of business focused L&D advice, direction and services
Demonstrated training thought leadership
Demonstrated experience working in a demanding achievement focused environment
Very strong interpersonal skills including experience in mentoring and coaching
Very strong oral, written, and listening skills that enable effectiveness at all levels
Strong management and leadership skills
Very strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships, perform, and deliver in a team environment
Desirable
Ability to deliver on time or early in a highly matrixed environment
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
The ability to hold a defence security clearance to secret level is desirable.
