ROLE
In this challenging and highly interesting position you will lead a team of actuarial analysts in the General Insurance, Head Office team. This is a high profile requiring strong analytical and communication skills. This role gives you an exciting opportunity to work closely with Senior Management and our Chief Underwriting Officers in Commercial and Global Corporate. Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain technical prices for all lines of business
Provide recommendations to National Underwriting Managers
Advise Managers on the pricing of complex policies or schemes, budgets, forecasts of results and business planning
Providing technical and financial analysis support to the Reinsurance Manager
Manage relevant compliance requirements
Management of team including recruitment, coaching and development
REQUIREMENTS
As the successful candidate you have extensive actuarial experience in the general insurance sector with in depth experience in pricing across many different insurance classes. FIAA or equivalent qualifications are essential and an understanding of appropriate actuarial and statistical models and techniques. You have a reputation for your high level analytical and critical thinking ability and your superior communication skills. Your success will come from your ability to engage staff and key stakeholders alike.
