Fixed term, full time position available to 31 July 2021.  Flexible work arrangements can be negotiated (0.8FTE)
Support an ongoing program of research into cellular therapies for solid cancers, including support of an open phase I clinical CAR-T cell trial
An opportunity has arisen for an early career researcher to join the Translational Oncology Laboratory.  The Laboratory works collaboratively between university and hospital based researchers and has a strong focus on progressing immune-based therapies to early phase clinical trials in cancer patients.  There will be the opportunity to develop an independent research project focused on CAR-NKT cell therapy for the treatment of gliobastoma.
The successful applicant will be confident working independently, while providing in-lab supervision to postgraduate students.  Experience with tissue culture of primary human cells, multi-parameter flow cytometry, small animal models of cancer and molecular biology will be considered favourably.
To be successful you will need: 
An Honours degree or higher qualifications (PhD is desired) or equivalent research experience
Evidence of contribution towards research relevant to the particular field of study/interest
Experience in contributing towards producing conference and seminar papers and submitting publications in research
Evidence in being involved in professional activities
Ability to perform administrative functions primarily connected with the area of research
