Network Performance Manager

The Network Performance Manager (NMP) is responsible for the control and organisation of the operation of our Melbourne bus network. The focus is on meeting and exceeding our performance obligations with the Department of Transport primarily through the optimisation of our Operations Control Centre (OCC) and reduce the financial impact of special events and unforeseen incidents on our network.
Key responsibilities include:
Control and organise the operation of our fleet of vehicles, delivering continuous improvement for our bus passengers
Monitor OCC performance against KPI’s and review procedures and processes for continual improvement
Monitor Fatigue Management of drivers and ensure no breaches
Work with contractors to understand the extent of any service disruption
Ensure all internal stakeholders are aware of disruption, length of disruption and service alterations
Ensure information for drivers and OCC on disruption in a clear and concise manner
Co-ordinate on-road monitoring for regular services and events as necessary
Assist with complaint investigations and provide feedback to a range of stakeholders around findings of investigations
Work with the Planning team on the development of new timetables, shifts and rosters
Provide Support to the Regional Operations Managers in the control and organisation of the network and be in a position to be deployed across the depots as required or to step in an act in their position without notice
Provide advice on shifts and rosters in accordance with the EBA
What you bring
Demonstrated practical experience in a frontline operational role in passenger transport operations
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading and managing large multi-disciplinary teams
Proven experience in adopting, leading and promoting change within a large organisation
Previous experience in the development and management of relationships with customers, clients and stakeholders
High level analytical, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
High level initiative and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in advising senior stakeholders on sensitive issues
