Ref. 21399 Wireless Telecommunications - We wish to develop research in the areas of broadband communications circuits and integrated systems on chips at microwave and millimetre wave frequencies. This would compliment our strength in microwave device characterization and broadband analysis and metrology. Expertise is required in one of more of radio system design and applications, large scale integrated circuit techniques in silicon and compound semiconductor processes, and wireless telecommunications for mobile and telemetry applications. Key research directions may include application of novel circuit techniques for improving system architecture, extending existing and new integrated circuit technologies to higher frequencies, or practical implementation of mobile or wireless communications systems.
