Ref. 21393 / 21394 / 21395 / 21396 / 21397 Neurosciences, Vascular Sciences & Surgery - FIVE POSITIONS WILL BE APPOINTED ACROSS THE FOUR FIELDS BELOW Professor of Neuroanatomy In addition to the general requirements specified for a position in The Australian School of Advanced Medicine, this person will have a special interest in neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s Alzheimer’s disease. Preference will be given to candidates whose areas of expertise complement those of other members of the CORE, and to candidates with expertise in maintaining banks of brain tissue over prolonged periods. Professor of Autonomic Neuroscience Genomics In addition to the general requirements specified for a position in The Australian School of Advanced Medicine, this person will have a special interest in the central control of autonomic function as it applies to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. An interest in diseases that relate to disorders of the central cardiorespiratory function is desirable. Candidates with a diversity of skills and an ability to demonstrate technical innovation are preferred. Candidates with an interest in translating their findings to clinical applications are especially sought after. Professor of Cardiovascular Neurophysiology In addition to the general requirements specified for a position in The Australian School of Advanced Medicine. A special interest in the neural regulation and its relationship to cardiorespiratory control is desirable. An interest in human physiology and translational medicine would be advantageous. Professor of Cerebrospinal Biomechanics In addition to the general requirements specified for a position in The Australian School of Advanced Medicine, this person will have a special interest in brain blood flow, cerebrospinal fluid regulation and disorders relating to these functions.
