Ref. 21390 / 21391 / 21392 Social, Cultural & Political Change - World History We are in search of a leader in the burgeoning field of world history, a scholar who will expand our understanding of the methods, materials and scales of analysis that might be used to explain phenomena on a global scale. Possible fields include world environmental history, the human community, migration, exchange, technology and innovation, global cultural transfers and circulation. International Relations We are seeking applications from candidates in one or more of the following areas of international relations: international organisations/global governance, international political economy, US foreign policy, Australia’s relations with Asia/the Pacific, the rise of China/India, and regional security. Scholars with interests in other areas of international relations may also be considered. Media and the State We are seeking researchers with empirical and /or theoretical expertise in the history of the media, media technologies or organisations of communication, within national, international and/or comparative contexts. Scholars whose interests encompass any area of the media - the press, radio, television, or film - be it content, audiences or regulation; any aspect of political communication and public opinion; or any of the new media, are encouraged to apply. Gender History and/or Postcolonial/Transnational History We seek candidates in one or more the following fields: women"s history, the history of sexuality, feminist theory and historiography or gender as a category of historical analysis; non-Western, colonial, empire or postcolonial history; history that has a substantive focus on Indigenous peoples, gendered race relations, or gender under colonial regimes.
