CANBERRA - ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT OFFICER / APS 5 - PN 12058 - The Values and Conduct Section (VCS) is responsible for the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud and criminal behaviour, and breaches of the Australian Public Service (APS) Code of Conduct by departmental staff. As well as providing a specialised internal investigations service to the department the VCS is responsible for the development and implementation of a number of polices related to the APS Values and Code of Conduct in accordance with the Public Service Act 1999 and related legislative framework, as well as the provision of advice and assistance to departmental staff. As the VCS Operations and Administrative Support Officer you will be required to provide investigation support services including the administration of the VCS case management system, the ongoing development and review of VCS procedures and practices and the provision of audits and trend analysis reports for the section. You will be required to apply a sound knowledge and understanding of the department and use reasonably complex, sensitive and detailed information in order to manage a broad range of administrative and project related activities, and produce quality outcomes.
