About the positionThe Training Manager – Train Driving and Network Control position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and effective operational management of the Train Driving and Network Control (pre-qualified) training programs. Your primary accountabilities and responsibilities will include:• Coaching, developing and leading a team of trainers and assessors, and support staff as required• Providing high-quality pre-qualified driver training and support network operations training to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation, including the Rail Safety National Law and the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act and its associated legislative framework• Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders including government regulators and skills councils • Identifying and delivering efficiency gains and improve effectiveness of trainingAbout youTo ensure success in this role you will possess:• Tertiary Qualifications in Education, business or other relevant discipline -mandatory• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) - preferred• Excellent knowledge of the Standards for RTOs and requirements of the VET sector• Considerable experience in a senior/management role with substantial knowledge of ASQA and VRQA requirements• Extensive demonstrated experience in the VET sector with particular understanding of the design, delivery and evaluation of training and education• Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles, teaching methodologies, curriculum development and evaluation processes• Proven resource and people management skills, including demonstrated ability to build effective high performance teams in a commercial environment• Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills with proven ability to build effective relationships, work collaboratively with business leaders and multiple stakeholders• Proven business acumen to provide sustainable training programs
